I knew Mark Gerbino, a teacher and wrestling coach at St. Benedict's Prep in New Jersey, US. He has not been at the school for almost two years. So, I suppose your information is just a little out of date.

Catina Gerbino & Antonio Di Legami are the parents of Concetta Di Legami of Riesi. Catina was born about 1793 and died Sep. 6, 1833 and she was my husband's mother.

"I knew a couple of second cousins in Sicily and found that Gerbino was close to the
spelling. We hired a wonderful genealogist during our visit to Sicily and with a little luck I arrived at the home of
Giovanni Gerbino and to our delight found that they were the right family."
Fran was very
kind and sent me several photos from Sicily and of Giovanni with his tile
designs.

I have two Gerbino family connections...... my grandmother (on my fathers side) is
Serafina Gerbino who was married to Antoninio Ragazzo, arrived in NY in 1903 from San Stefano di Camastra (they are
listed on the Ellis Island Wall of Honor. I had a chance to visit Ellis
Island several years ago and viewed the wall...it was an awesome sight
especially seeing my grandparents names listed there. The other link is my
fathers sister who married a Gerbino from the Bronx.
Whether I actually find relatives or not, your site is such a wealth of
information and I thank you.
Also though I haven't had a
chance to read most of your sites yet on the KSA what I've read was of interest.
I lived in Riyadh for two years in the late 70's and mostly have such good
memories of the country. My oldest daughter was born there."

Yvan is the potter with Mosaïque GERBINO in France and made some corrections about some of the Gerbino pottery.
"There is no report (connection) between potteries of Jean GERBINO, VALLAURIS, FRANCE and the shop of Gerbino Pottery in San Stefano di Camastra."
