Janadrya - a blend of tradition and modernity
1999 Riyadh - Thousands of Saudis and expatriatcs have visited the 16th Janadriya Heritage and Culture Festival, which has become the cultural landmark of the capital. A distinctive feature of the event is the blend of traditional and modernity - the evolution of Saudi Arabia through various phases leading up to the modern times.
The Janadriya Heritage and Cultural Festival carried a message for the younger generation. It was to remind them of the Kingdon's glorious past, its rich cultural tapestry and its vibrant present. The festival is a flashback to Saudi history and culture and a mirror image of the present.
